Supplier Sabina Announces Closure

Toledo, Ohio-based supplier Sabina (PPAI 113610) released a letter today to its customers saying that after 40 years the company is ceasing operations. Sabina will accept orders for on-hand stock products in the U.S. through September 21, 2018 for shipment on or before October 5, 2018. It will continue to honor returns through October 26, 2018.

The letter also assured customers that the company would do its best to make the transition as smooth as possible and promised the same level of service during the transition as it has delivered in the past. No specific reason was given for the closure, but the letter introduced Sabina’s parent company, The Boelter Companies, as an alternative source for promotional product needs and reiterated its intent to continuing serving customers under a new brand.

The company, which is not yet a member of PPAI, offers a wide range of branded products, including but not limited to drinkware, apparel and novelties. The letter added that while Boelter strives to offer a diverse portfolio of unique items, some products formerly offered by Sabina will be discontinued.

After joining the Sabina family back in 1979 when they bought my decorating factory in Orlando it's sad to see this closure. I hope that management will find new positions for everyone who has worked there for years. RIP!
